17Antony & Lou Reed - Candy Says (Velvet Underground cover)
Must, must watch.
Stunning rendition. Antony takes the flat irony of the original song and adds layer after layer of emotion, resulting in what I think is one of Lou Reed’s best vocal performances.
Lou Reed at the end is visibly moved, almost stunned. Looks like he even has tears in his eyes.
