Jerry Garcia Band - Boogie On Reggae Woman
Stevie Wonder cover day.
Merl Saunders on vocals. Ridiculous jam.
I’d like to see both of us
Fall deeply in love
I’d like to see you in the raw
Under the stars above
Missed out on this world, but there’s something about it that seems particularly authentic.
I miss cassette culture

Very few albums I’m looking forward to as much as this.
My Back Pages-Bob Dylan (via barefootjukebox)
This is the one of most important songs in the Dylan canon, circa 1964, 23 years old (23!), 4 records into his career, already an icon, My Back Pages is 6 verses with only the barest of a chorus (but what a chorus - “Ah, but I was so much older then/I’m younger than that now”) and already attempting with one song to destroy all his prior work and move forward to a new space. Indeed, My Back Pages saves its scorn for Dylan himself, his beliefs, his actions, his words. It’s an incredible incredible song for it is unlike anything that came before, or since.
